Hello,

I am a Dutch male I want to fly to to Teheran by plane. I heard that I can get (I am a Dutch national) a 15 days tourist visa at the airport. Now I want to travel from Teheran overland to Turkey. Is this possible with this visa? I already have a Turkish visa to enter Turkey.

Buy a motorcycle on Iran Travel Tips, Advice and Information
Title: Buy a motorcycle
Forum: Iran Travel Tips, Advice and Information

Hi all, I live Montreal Canada and I am currently planning a 2 months trip to Iran by bike, I am interested in visiting the Zagros areas at the end of the summer period. I would like to ask you few questions, that could really help me organizing this amazing trip.

Since I don't really intend to focus my trip on a real biking experience, I am not intending to ship my bike there, this is pretty expensive. In revenge I would like to buy one there and then leave it there (or sell it), do you think this is possible for a Canadian to do that? thanks

Eliass

I'm half Iranian, half American, never been...... on Iran Travel Tips, Advice and Information
Title: I'm half Iranian, half American, never been...... Excited, yet a little concerned
Forum: Iran Travel Tips, Advice and Information
Message:
I have never been to Iran, I am half Iranian, my dad is Iranian, mother is American, I am 26 year old female and have long wanted to visit the country. My father has traveled back and forth several times over the years and really hasn't pushed me to go, but has asked me. I have recently been much more excited about going and seeing a lot of my family members and the country's culture, historical sites and everything. My dad has just returned recently and is really thinking me and my brother should come and we'd have a good time. My Farsi is poor to fair, but that is besides the point, I just want to feel safe in that my brother and I can travel there and back with no problem. With all the talk through the media here and "saftey warnings" for traveling to Iran, especially for and Iranian American such as my brother and me, I have to admit, it sets my excitment back a little. I am ready to go and will definately use this website as a helpful tool! Please answer as best as possible my following questions:

* Do I NEED to have an Iranian Passport to travel there since my father is Iranian?

* Is it typical to have problems entering/exiting the country due to U.S. citizenship or any other reason?

* This is for my brother: He is 27, not in college, and again Iranian last name, however he's never been to Iran; will the Army service even be an issue for him?

Thanks I'd appreciate some advice and info!!

Smile Elly
